Our first Digital and Technology Skills cohort wrapped up recently, and if you had asked most of the twenty-two participants on day one whether they could build a working website, most would have laughed.
By the final week, nearly all of them had. More importantly, several told us the training changed how they saw themselves — not as people who consume technology, but as people who can build with it. One participant, a young man who’d struggled to find steady work after school, has already picked up his first freelance web design job.
We designed this programme around a simple idea: technical skill without self-belief rarely goes anywhere. So alongside the coding fundamentals, we built in mentorship, portfolio reviews, and honest conversations about the job market. Our next cohort opens applications shortly, and we’re hoping to double our intake.
