Bringing the Moral Rebirth Campaign to Enugu Secondary Schools

Last month, our team visited three secondary schools across Enugu as part of the Moral Rebirth and Values-Reorientation Campaign, and what struck us most wasn’t the turnout — it was the questions.

One student asked why honesty mattered if “everyone else is cutting corners.” It’s a fair question, and not one we answered with a lecture. Instead, our facilitators opened it up to the room, and for the next hour, students debated, pushed back on each other, and eventually landed somewhere more thoughtful than where they started. That, to us, is the whole point.

We’re not trying to hand young people a script. We’re trying to give them room to work out what integrity actually costs — and why it’s still worth it. We’ll be back in these schools next term, and we’re already looking to expand the campaign to two more local government areas before the year is out.
